You've made it! It is now time to relax! You have successfully shown your child how to grow himeslf from anger, frustration, anxiety and fear to fun, happy, productive interesting play. He is ready to spend as much time as you need playing with one of the toys, games or activities described in the book all by himself.
It is now time to bring out the clay, pipe cleaners, beads, and other craft items productively take over. They not only inspire creativity, but they develop finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination, while calming and soothing even an autistic child. They are now feeling safe, happy and connected and will play indefinitely by themselves and just need you nearby for the occasional, "Mom! Look what I made!"
Open the section of the book that shows how to make severaly cool animals and suggest some of your own, such as make a hot dog, or clay plate of food.
